You can catch the action on Twitch, YouTube and X channels.

Take a peek at our esports industry news and number of updates across our successes, challenges and more;

INDUSTRY

👉🏼 Korean based T1 dominates China's Weibo in a clean sweep to win the League of Legends 2023 Worlds in front of a record 6.4m people which doesn't include the China based viewers! Riot also announced during the day that London will play host to the 2024 LoL Worlds.

👉🏼 Riot Games is refurbing its Berlin based studio which is where the LEC is broadcast from, the League of Legends European Championship. Changes will give more flexibility to host other Riot titles and leverage the remote broadcast facility in Dublin.

👉🏼 Who said blockchain based gaming was dead! Team Liquid is collaborating with Illuvium for blockchain auto battler game - let's see how this evolves given the profile of Team Liquid.

SUCCESS

🚀 We've made it to the Ireland Esports Collegiate Winter Finals after 8 weeks of competition running Monday to Friday with daily live streams of the top two games. The changes we put in place are paying off!

🚀 Partnerships secured with Dogpatch Labs as our host for Finals Day and GG Machines are supporting us through provision of all the Machines and Monitors we need to pull off the first in-person finals day.

CHALLENGES

🎮 The current consolidation in esports is also impacting on the businesses that run the competitions, the Tournament Organisers. We've seen the impact of this first hand as Promod who are behind the Valorant Beacon Series which we previously competed in have gone out of business. Freaks4U have been the NLC Tournament Organiser since 2022 but have just recently handed their license over to Leagues.GG. So far these changes haven't impacted too much on us but we'll be watching carefully as we prepare for the 2024 NLC and look to re-enter the Valorant Beacon Series next year as well.

NEEDS

👀 Over the coming couple of weeks we've got a few announcements to share, at least one more sponsorship and a new player focused initiative. Our ask is for your support to amplify these announcements in the various social media channels. While I'm on it, if you can comment/push our Monster Energy announcement that'd be a great start!
